Grenache

Grenache, or Grenache Noir, is the most widely grown red grape due its popularity in Spain and the South of France.

On its own it produces light-coloured, but slightly alcoholic, wine which is often both sweet and spicy. Often viewed as being a 'robust' grape similar to Syrah, Grenache produces reds with confident flavours and is also one of the grapes that contribute to the red Rioja blend.
